Children's One Society
The mission of "The One" Society is to support Children's Health Children's Medical Center by engaging and fostering young leaders to make life better for children through philanthropic, educational, fundraising, volunteer and social opportunities. Founded in 2010, "The One" Society has cumulatively raised over $146,000 for various areas of the hospital including the Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD), Heart Center, the At-Risk Childrens (ARCH) Center, the Solid Organ Transplant Program, and theChild Life department. Over 600 young professionals have been involved, lending their support to make life better for children.
In 2019, The One Society raised over $12,000 for their beneficiary, Gene-Therapy Research. The Gene-Therapy Research Program, overseen by Dr. Minassian, Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology & Neurotherapeutics at UT Southwestern, is leading in groundbreaking clinical research.
